Hilltop Getaway.
Friday i was having a fight with myself. more of a mental disorder actually. but the night before i reminded or rather ugin reminded me of self dicipline so i went to work and i have been busy until now. the day before i had a silent protest and didnt show up at work. but thats another story.
friday turned out quite ok even though an old flame called and was showing off his company and the fact that he has a car now. anyway my old and new department heads spoke to me and i was glad they did. the change might be a blessing in disguise but only time will tell.
i got off work early that day and straight i went home to pack my things for a short getaway up in the hills. traffic was horrendous but i managed to get there in time for the 4x4 journey up to the hilltop. the trip was okay, i didnt feel nauseas even though the road was narrowly curvy and pitch dark.
when i got there, i could only think "the view is fantabulous!" even better than the view on pearl hill if i may say so. the house was classic, everything was classic down to the bathroom tiles and lampshades. the house was made out of solid wood and big ass stones. it wasnt windy that night though there were insects flying around bugging us. but that did not deter us for having a good time.
my good friend, the one who invited us was cooking up a storm in the kitchen with her killer pasta and me making salad. we accompanied our dinner dish with a 2000 red wine. it was nice. i totally forgotten how awful i was feeling the day before. i really have to thank my friend for that.
before we start our escapade of mahjong, we were snapping pictures of the house and of ourselves making funny faces with her new 10mega pixel Nikon semi SLR. that piece of machine is sweeeet to the bone. once we got tired of that, we were on the kitchen table top playing mahjong till 3 in the morning. its damn addictive!
the next day started with slightly sleep deprived feeling as we had our breakfast of boiled eggs, tuna and kaya paste with bread. i did a lil reading and the next thing we know, we were on it again! mahjong that is. told you it was addictive.
that is when my phone died when my friend tried calling me who came back from england who's from kl but was in kedah. wtf. so i was totally out of anything that can connect me to the outside world.
later that night we had our mini barbeque by the house where her parents had some guests over and before u know it, cuz we were or rather i was having such a great time listening to the sound of jungle, enjoying the killer view, embracing nature, doing nothing with nothing to worry about at the moment.. the night has ended.
i totally adore the feeling of not worring so much about money, work etc. albeit its just for a few days. but now im at the hill bottom, in my own house, blogging away with work and stress behind my mind, its kinda shitty actually. tomorrow's monday. :(
but nonetheless, much thanks to my friend who was a superb host and her parents for inviting us over. it was a great weekend!
