Needle And Blood.

Hey peeps. *waves*

Nope, I didnt faint at the sight of needle. In fact, I was looking at the pamphlet about papsmear and diabetes. teehee.

My brother went in and I managed to witness the whole process. It was easy. One, two, three, youre done. It was like a breeze.

So I went and sat down on the chair. It was my turn.
The first needle was poked into my skin, yes you heard me, first needle. It was aimed at my right hand. After several minutes, the fella was still there struggling, trying to find the vein. Imagine a needle poked through your skin and it has to move left and right to find the vein and not to mention he tried to pump out blood but that didnt happen. He gave up and took out the needle and told me that he's going to do it for the second time, this time on my left hand. Gosh, at that time, my right hand was feeling sore and weak.

So whats next?

He used another needle and poked into my left hand, no worries, I did make sure that he used a new needle and this time around, it was a success!
Oh Bleeding Joy!

I was hoping, really hoping that he would get it done nicely for the second time around. I remembered last time, when my dad was in the hospital and I was a kid back then, I was horrified at the sight of needles, needles that poke through your skin to suck some blood out of your body. It was prolly because after several times of the not-so-gentle nurse poking at the same spot and same area, it resulted my dad's hand to be swollen and turned purple black. I remembered my dad cried in pain. I remembered it as a very horrifying experience.

And it didnt help because I was a kid back then, I didnt know what pain is, I was a naive lil kid. The sight of my role model and heroic dad cried in pain was really scary. And from that day onwards, I have never been to the hospital or clinic to get my blood sucked for whatever medical reason. Yes and that means that I dont even know my blood type. As you can see, today is a new experience for me. It was sort of facing my fear experience. Poor me, I have to walk out of the center with two plasters instead of one. Weak sista!

So here, some pictures that marks the day I got my blood sucked.
!
Outcome of first attempt, on my right.

!
Plaster removed. Puny red dot. How cute.

!
Second attempt. SUCCESS!

!
No prize for spotting my vein. Heh.

I'll be getting the results in a week's time. I think they're going to do a complete 53 tests on the blood. That includes cancer test and diabetes test, just to mention a few. Well, will let you guys know about my blood type soon. Hehe.

In the mean time, Ive got to study hard for my exam this Friday. Garh, three more days to go. Wish me luck.!
