Cibai.

Each bag has two labels, but focus on the one on the left first and what does it say?

Is it just my bad eyesight or there's something wrong with their pronounciation cum branding?

Hmmm, at first glance it's cibai. Then I stopped, rewind and check again. But noooooway, I refuse to think that its NOT cibai.

Does it not read "cibai" at first glance to you too? :(

Ghetto.

That was what I was feeling and since I got some time and money to waste, I went to Pragin Mall for some solitary shopping and bought myself a converse shoe and socks. They're currently having sale and they even have 50% off selected colors/items. The thing is, being a cheap ass person who cannot afford too expensive shoes, I was going after that great deal but what puts me off is, they have limited sizes only. :( So I had to settle for a normal price one. Hur hur. Come to think about it, they are the only Converse outlet in the whole of Penang. Damn!

Oh guess who visited Penang!

None other than Mr. Banksy himself! (But is it true??)

I'm quite sure you guys have seen this before but nobody actually blog about it? So here I am blogging about it. Yalah, trying to be original. :P

Pic taken while driving up/down from the multilevel carpark. Oh yeah I HATE HATE HATE those motherfuckers who modified their cars but go up the multilevel car park drive like kayu/kura kura/cabbage only. Less than 20km/hour ok!!!!! Let alone whether if you modified your car or not lah but please, that Pragin Mall multilevel car park is like ALOT of roundsok. Cibai, it took forever to go up man! Ptui.

Requiem.

Well I could't think of a proper title and I thought that it's a cool word. Heh. So requiem it is.

Books to read:
  1. Interpreter Of Maladies - Jhumpa Lahiri
  2. The Client - John Grisham
  3. The Chamber - John Grisham
  4. The World's Greatest Rock n Roll Scandals - David Cavanagh
Currently reading Tash Aw's The Harmony Silk Factory

Movies to watch:
  1. A Beautiful Mind
  2. My Date With Drew
  3. Central Station
  4. Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
  5. I (heart) Huckabees
Currently watching SpongeBob Squarepants.

Miscellaneous things to do:
  1. read up on the insurance policy
  2. go through the graduation briefing sheet
  3. fill in reply form and send out cheque
  4. fix phone
  5. settle phone bills
As I am sitting still here while listening to New Slang by The Shins, I feel empty. The weather is gloomy outside, I wish I'd know how to play an instrument that allows me to express how I am feeling now. Even words won't do it for me now.

Aimless. Deep down I wish something would happen. A miracle would come my way. What happened to the bubbly personality? It disappeared. The magic that I used to have in me. It vanished. The electricity and passion that I have towards life, where did they go? I was dreaming yesterday and in it, I was weeping about my life. It felt real.

You know at times like these, songs from Snow Patrol describes the best.

Maybe I should go catch a movie or go for a solo joy ride and feel like I'm really alone in this world.

The Electric Soft Parade.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I've just discovered this indie rock band from Brighton, East Sussex called The Electric Soft Parade. At first when I saw the album, I was like, what? which one is the name of the band and which one is the name of the album leh?! font type the same, font size also the same, colors also the same. niama!

So anyways, the band consists of two core members, brothers Tom White(drums/keyboards) and Alex White (vocals/guitar) and several other musicians that they played live with. And here's a little summary about them on drowninsound. But if you want to buy their songs, they're here.

Here's their discography.

Blue.

Why do I get kicked out even if I’m armed with sincerity and kindness?

Why do I bounce?

The only thing that I know of is to try hard and that is exactly what I did and hey look where I am now, I’m on ground zero.

Don’t try so hard? But like I said, I only know how to try hard or harder. I mean how is it possible when you are attracted to something and feel like you can give but the only thing you get is probably nothing.

Sometimes, when you and I collide
I fall into an ocean of you, pull me out in time
Don't let me drown, let me down
I say it's all because of you
And here I go, losing my control
I'm practicing your name so I can say it to your face

Say you'll stay, don't come and go
Like you do
Sway my way, yeah I need to know
All about you

Uninspired.

say what do you do when you cant sleep at 4smth in the morning?

you listen to music man.

beth orton - sweetest decline
red house painters - have you forgotten
the corrs - one night
jeff buckley - last goodbye
jason wade - you belong to me
emiliana torrini - crazy love
blur - sweet song
nice stupid playground - what if it rains
ning baizura - selagi ada cinta
bic runga - sway
josh groban - when you say you love me

and since i still cant sleep for fucks sake, i came online and blog about it.

and what do i do if after this if i still cannot sleep? :(

BBQ Steamboat.

Just a few days ago, a friend came over from Melaka and was spending a few days in Penang. We suddenly had cravings for BBQ steamboat so we went for one that is eat-all-you-can buffet style. Since my last visit, this place has improved and now with more things to offer. They have more raw ingredients to choose from, more choices of beverage, more tables and now they even offer 3 kinds of ice cream sticks to choose from. One crazy friend of mine had 8 in a row and she had it non-stop and was practically treating the ice cream like corn!

Food Loft.

Last weekend, I patronized this new place called Food Loft located on the 4th floor of Gurney Plaza. Claimed as the trendy and upscale international dining concept and the 1st in Malaysia. Back then I think they've just opened the place for less than a week as I can see the mangement is abit kelam-kabut. We saw there were quite alot of staff walking around, which is kinda weird.

Basically in layman term, it's a high class food court lah.

The staff would give each of the patrons an order card which you are suppose to bring it along as you go around the food aile to order your food. The chef would scan the card and after you finish your food that you bring along this card to the cashier counter and pay up. Remember not to lose it though, it would cost you RM100 for that, paying the total amount of what the card allows you to eat up to.

This place offers you food ranging from Japanese to Western, from Chinese to Thai, from Italian to Vietnamese and really nice view of the beach front along Gurney Drive. The interior is quite nice, with chandeliers, a square fountain that surrounds a few sets of tables, some interesting paintings, hidden/indirect lighting and some smooth Jazz to go with the food. By the way, I really like their cutlery. It's like brand new man! =D
